Overview: Welcome to the online instructor-led training of NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC). This course covers a wide-range of health and safety topics, from helping employers understand their legal and moral responsibilities, to even more superior subject-matter such as conducting risk assessments by employees.

The NEBOSH IGC is unarguably the most recognized qualification in health and safety profession in the world with over 70,000 certificate-holders. The course is recognized as a SCQF level 6 qualifications and a perfect step towards the NEBOSH Diploma – which is equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree.

The course is divided into 2 units namely IG1 & IG2 which focuses on the Management of Health and Safety, and Risk Assessment respectively.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate course provides experience and exposure to a qualitative personal development. Successful Participants are entitled to become Associate Member (AIOSH) of IOSH and IIRSM – two of the world’s largest professional association for health and safety.

Style of Study: This course is organized in sections with each containing video (simulated whiteboard and tutor) and series of course resources including end-of-section assignments.

On completion, successful candidates will receive the IG 1 and IG2 certificates. After success at your exam, holders are qualified to apply to become Associate Member (AIOSH) of IOSH and IIRSM – two of the world’s largest professional association for health and safety.
This course is ideal for all intending and existing professionals, consultants, top executives, internal & lead auditors, project managers, supervisors, young graduates and everyone seeking to build a career in health and safety management. Intending learners do not need a previous experience to enroll, training or write the international examination.
On completion of course, learner is required to take a computer-based exam known as OPEN BOOK ASSESSMENT for IG1. While, IG2 is a risk assessment work that will be submitted electronically to NEBOSH. The exam is scheduled to hold 4 times in a year. Open book examination that can be taken at home as a replacement for the invigilated paper-based examinations for Unit 1 of International General Certificates. An open book examination can test the same learning outcomes and assessment criteria as invigilated paper-based examinations. However, unlike a closed book assessment, you can access textbooks and digital resources when completing an open book examination. Open book examinations test your ability to extract and apply relevant knowledge and organise it to address the question asked.
